As I step off the plane into Duk Payuel, Southern Sudan I am very excited for all the fun adventures I am about to have with John Bul Dau in his home village. He takes me to his house, I unpack and after meeting his family, and fall asleep immediately. I am very wiped out after the very long journey from California to Southern Sudan.

A Day...you get so much done in that first sentence...I like the music in the background...breakfast...walking to the clinic...visiting and playing with the kids...Lam Tungwar concert...dancing...red dirt souvenir-I really like that part...
Nicely done, Emma. You did a lot in one day. Thanks for such vivid descriptions of that day. I wish you could have stayed longer, but in a short time and with your writing, I feel like I experienced a lot. I really like how you shed light on details with the way you write. Thanks.
